3 Reasons Why You Need to Go to Duck Creek Days

Southern Utah offers year-round adventure. If you like to hike, bike, climb, or fish, Duck Creek Village has it all! During your visit, you will instantly fall back in love with nature. When you stay in one of our Duck Creek Village Cabin Rentals, it is as if the hustle and bustle of the outside world disappears. While your main objective during your vacation may be to explore our gorgeous landscape, we encourage you to attend one of the local events or festivals. One of our favorites is
Duck Creek Days. Held each year at the end of July, admission is free, and it's fun for the whole family! Duck Creek Days takes place in the community meadow directly behind Duck Creek Village, and is just a short drive away from our Duck Creek Village Cabins. 3 Reasons Why You Need to Go to Duck Creek Days

Fun for the Whole Family

Duck Creek Days is an event people of all ages are sure to enjoy! Arts and crafts booths are set up for the kids to get creative, and game booths are set up among vendors for a little extra fun. There are also bounce houses, a giant slide, a climbing wall, and even carnival rides. Let the kids run free while you sit back and enjoy some live music on the stage by local bands. By the end of the night, everyone is up dancing! One of the main Duck Creek Days events takes place Saturday afternoon: the Duck Derby. Attendees can buy and race toy ducks down the creek! There are also raffles throughout the weekend. This year's main drawing hasn't been released yet, but last year's was an ATV!

Fair Food

The fair food at Duck Creek Days definitely makes the event worth visiting! Local food vendors line the outsides of the meadow, giving plenty of options so no one will go hungry. The vendors change every year, but you can be sure to expect all the usual fair foods like fried dough, hot dogs, and candy apples. The main food event is the Duck Creek Days Chili Cook-Off where people come from all over to taste the chili. The judging begins Saturday at noon, then the public is free to taste!

Take Home a Little Bit of Duck Creek Village

You'll have so much fun at Duck Creek Days that you'll want to take something home to remember it by! Each vendor sets up their displays for the weekend with many things to choose from. Among the many vendors are local businesses selling their goods as well as artists and crafters. Imagine going back to your adventures of southern Utah every time you look at your uniquely crafted piece of memorabilia!
